Description

The coolant temperature sensor monitors the heat levels of the engine’s coolant and relays this data to the ECU to manage fuel injection and ignition timing. This sensor, paired with its dedicated O-ring to prevent leaks, ensures the engine runs within its ideal thermal range for maximum efficiency.
A malfunctioning sensor can cause erratic temperature gauge readings, poor fuel economy, or difficulty starting the engine when cold. You may notice the cooling fans running constantly or not at all.
